You don’t know anything.

As I have said in my previous write-up, I was a brat in childhood though not a proud one, I regret it big time now. My mother is very innocent and is far away from the realities of modern life. She is happy in her own circle of life, doing her work and listening to the radio. She is a technologically challenged person, though now she is active on WhatsApp & Facebook, she still struggles with a lot of things. She is the same person now, that she was 25 years back. I was a tantrum queen when it was … Continue reading You don’t know anything.

A bad morning

I wake up by 7:00 am every day and after taking a bath I enter the kitchen. The first thing, I do is to boil the milk and prepare tea. While the tea & milk boils up, I finish brooming the house. By the time, I broom our house, tea gets ready and the milk also comes to boil. As usual, I woke up at 7:00 am, I was brushing my teeth and when I looked in the mirror, there was a horrible & ugly pimple on my left cheek. Urgh! This had to come today only, I have to … Continue reading A bad morning

In a foreign land

I got married in the year of 2013. The best part of a wedding is the honeymoon. We planned to visit Italy for our honeymoon, well it was Roma, Venezia, Firenze & Pisa i.e. Rome, Venice, Florence & Pisa. I had never been to a foreign land before but, my husband had visited a few countries before. He was very supportive and kind to me. He had prepared me with do’s & don’ts in the foreign land. I was so happy to visit this beautiful country; it is a perfect honeymoon place. Elton John said, “I love places with an … Continue reading In a foreign land

Tips on travelling with babies

I am a mother to a 4.5 years old boy now. I have started travelling with him since he was just 2 months old. I have taken him on international as well as domestic trips and I have learned a lot about travelling with babies. He looks like?

Every pregnancy is different & so is every child. My pregnancy was the easy one except for the delivery time. But I bet all the deliveries are tragic and painful. My boy met me after a cesarean operation. I was happy to hold him but I was not prepared to be a mother, not even after nine months of pregnancy. I knew all about having a child and being with one, but theory and practical is way different. How can I stay awake all night and day? How can I know which cry means what? Still, after months of experience, … Continue reading He looks like?

Nothing fits…but SHOES!!

I love to window shop online. I spend hours window shopping because, the clothes that are in trend, are all for skinny and tall people. I prefer wearing minimal prints and dark colors. Something that will cover all the fat areas but will still look chic. Something that should be breathable for my skin. Something that will keep a balance between sanskari & modern. Since adolescence, I have always struggled between ‘log kya sochenge’ & ‘bhaad mein jaye log’. So, I end up buying clothes that are loose, that covers up my assets and still make me look good. But … Continue reading Nothing fits…but SHOES!!

Banyan Tree

When we were kids, our favourite day was; Sunday. This Sunday used to be so precious because we could spend more time in bed, we could watch an extra hour of television and out of all these things there was one more thing that I loved and that was to hold my grandfather’s finger and roam around in the village visiting all the temples. The first temple used to be of Ganpati, then Mahadev, then Khandoba & in the end was Shanidev. After having a good time with all the gods, my grandfather used to meet his friends for chitchat. Just next to their chitchat … Continue reading Banyan Tree

Evening Walk

Every morning at 6:30 am, I open the balcony window while brushing my teeth and see so many people jogging, exercising & walking!! I call these people fitness freak. When I look at them every morning, I feel even I should put some efforts. But I just cannot help my laziness; my sleep overpowers my enthusiasm for morning walks. So, I stand in the balcony for a good 10 mins watching people. I wash off the thought of waking up early in the morning for a walk as I splash cool water on my face. Our day normally starts with … Continue reading Evening Walk

30 Seconds of Convenience

Its not been long that I have a machine in my kitchen that helps me with getting things done in just 30 seconds. What else does one housewife need? My mornings are busy as compared to the rest of the day. So, this machine is my saviour. I am talking about my microwave. We had no microwave at our home when I got married, so I did not feel the need of buying one. After our marriage, due to my husband’s work profile, we kept travelling to the USA for almost 2 years. Coming from a middle-class family and now … Continue reading 30 Seconds of Convenience

A magical kitchen sink

We all need clean utensils to eat in and to cook food in and for this, one has to wash them properly. I won’t say I have an OCD but yes I like everything clean, not shiny but clean. I am a homemaker by choice. I use to work and earn money at some point in my life but it’s been more than 2 years that I handle all the household chores.  My day in the kitchen starts with a glass of warm water, followed by a cup of tea. Mine is a family of 5, me,  my husband, mother … Continue reading A magical kitchen sink
